Ya know, when this week started, I had no intention of giving you “Three Days of Justice”, yet here we are. I thought I was done with yesterday’s post, but then I went to the thrift store. Yup, I found even more stuff, and I figured it best to just go ahead and post it before it all stacks up. So, here’s what I’ve found in the past 24 hrs:
This Mickey Mouse Micro Playset is specific to the shops at Disney Parks, but I found this bad boy new in box, right there on the shelf. I don’t have any use for it, but as @PuppetDevall would tell ya, you don’t leave behind good Disney items!
Superman: The Animated Series has its fans, but I was never one of them. Frankly, I never gave it a shot. I hated how it was in the same universe as Batman: The Animated Series, yet its world was so different. I realize Metropolis is The City of Tomorrow, but it was too jarring that Gotham’s criminals were using tommy guns, while Metropolis’s were using lasers. And don’t get me started on the flying cars! Anyway, this was a good price, so maybe it’s time to revisit it. I just wish it wasn’t Volume 2…
I love most Adult Swim comedies, and Sealab 2021 was no exception. I actually had the first 2 seasons, and I needed this one. There’s no outer box, and the package feels like it was in a flood. Still, the discs are fine, and it almost completes my series. This makes me a very happy Will!
While we’re on DVDs, I loved the Fox Kids The Tick cartoon, but never saw the live action show. Still, I heard good things about it, though it was shortlived as it was. So, as you can tell by the obnoxiously placed price tag, this was a good opportunity for me to see what all the fuss was about.
I may live in the MD/DC area, but I’m no Nats fan. Still, I’ll probably throw this up on Craigslist and some sucker will buy it.
It’s clobberin’ time, with ten inches of Thing! Get your minds out of the gutter! This 10″ figure was released by Toy Biz, and it’s a big, freaking hunk of plastic. Kids could beat each other to death with it, were they so inclined. Anyway, I’m sure some FF enthusiast would love this for their desk or shelf.
I’m not a board game guy. I was an only child, with no other kids in the neighborhood. Sure, I received games as gifts, but I never played them. Still, I’ve come to know some board game folks via social media, so this is for you guys. First up, I got this complete Addams Family game. I’ve made sure all the pieces are there, but I can’t attest to how fun it is. If this tickles anyone’s fancy, make me an offer so I don’t have to waste time peddling it through other channels!
Finally, I got this nice Parker Bros Battlestar Galactica game from 1978. I don’t know the first thing about BSG, but I know there’s a fanbase that loves it more than that Katee Sackhoff thing we got a few years ago. These folks long for Dirk Benedict and toaster headed Cylons. This Bud’s for them.
So, there ya have it. Every time I think I’m out, they pull me right back in. Again, if you want any of this stuff (besides the DVDs), make me an offer!
I bought 20 highly poseable moving parts and an action figure came with it! Makes me wonder, who’s getting that much play out of an MLB figure?
I like the board games. I never play any board games, except at board game cafes. I do buy them, but just for the nostalgic and/or novelty of the box… my fav being Laverne & Shirley.
Superman the Animated series rules, but like Justice League it only really gets amazing later on. Basically, you’re not missing all that much by not having season 1.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought and sold Superman Vol 1. I buy it, realize I have no real desire to watch it, sell it, rinse and repeat. Next time I find it, however, I’ll probably keep it. Probably.
